Mini IP over 2 Wire UTP Receiver.

Overview

The ET1551UM is the transmitter side device of an EtherStretch link extender, available in a convenient miniature enclosure.. This environmentally hardened device allows for the creation of a 10/100 Ethernet link over ONE pair Cat3 (or better cabling) for distances up to 300m.Multiple links can share individual pairs in a Cat5/6 or similar cabling. Shielded and non-twisted cabling will have reduced distances. Larger gauge conductors will improve power transfer.

The ET1551UM will communicate back to a ER1551U single channel or ER1651U multi-channel receiver at the head end which provides power and network connection. LEDs indicate link speed and status.
